How to look good at 50, defy ageing with great advice and fashion products

Looking Good at 50

How you look at fifty will inevitable reflect how you have treated yourself for the last fifty years in terms or psychologically and physically. At this point in your life you may be fulfilled and quite happy with your life- past, present and future, but for some of you, reaching fifty may be a time of contemplation and decision making. You may feel it time to deal with past issues or you may desire a change for the future (anxiety article) and either way you will need to deal with these issues as well as your changing physical appearances at this time.

Clothing is very important (clothing article). Your body shape may be changing and your life may be changing and these changes must be mirrored in the clothing choices you make. Flattering cuts for darker suits and exchange jeans for a well fitting pair of casual trousers and plain cotton shirts or t-shirts. If you are single then the target group of women you will now be moving into (what women want article) will expect a more self assured and refined sense of style that whispers I am in my fifties and still look great, rather than a style which screams ‘I am getting older but desperately trying to hang on to my youth by wearing clothes for a much younger man!’

Every man’s skin and hair ages differently. Depending on what age you began to notice change will depend on whether after reading this article, you will be starting to use different products or simply adjusting the current products you use in your normal regime for more specific ones tailored for this point in your life.

Skin may display wrinkles and signs of sagging which is attributed to lack of collagen in the skin. The skin may also appear dull and sallow and this in itself can be very aging on the appearance. There are various products especially designed to help to combat these signs in an older skin (SENS - Anti-age Care). Shaving may also cause more irritation if you skin has become slightly dry or thin and again using a suitable shaving lotion and after shave balm can replace moisture and cool irritation (Sharps - aftershave gel). Also using eyes creams to help tone crinkles and dark areas can also help to take years off how you look (Sens eye care). If you have already established a skincare routine then now is the time to switch from the products that you needed to use in your thirties and forties to these specifically for slightly older skins.

Every man will experience changes in his hair at some stage in his life and whether it is changes in colour such as your first signs of grey or thinning, receding and lose of hair, there are many excellent products designed to help you restore vitality and youthfulness from root to tip. (hair loss article).

If you find at this age you have very little hair then the best thing to do would be to have it shaved off. It may seem tempting to hold on to the little you have left but believe me you will age considerably and it will not look appealing to women. We all know and understand the changes that occur in men and women as they get older so don’t be scared by them, embrace them and make the best of it. I would only recommend the use of toupees, implant and laser hair replacement procedures in sever emergencies as these can sometimes look worse than having no hair at all. Remember it may seem the worst thing in the world to you but many people that see you in the street would not even notice and in my experience most men actually look better without hair!

Your body shape may be very different now and unless you have maintained a fit and healthy body through regular exercise and good diet, remember that good clothing can hide a multitude of sins! (Clothing article).

Now is a good time to start taking supplements such as calcium to prevent osteoporosis and vitamin C to maintain a healthy immune system (Vitamins and supplements) which will help you prepare to face a healthier and brighter future.
