A bit about Laura
Well lads lets start at the beginning. If you know a little more about me and where I’m coming from you can decide for yourselves whether or not you want to take advice from someone like me!
I am an only child so growing up meant that I never had the wealth of experience you get from having a brother or sister. I think this situation meant that I must have paid more detailed attention to the dynamics of relationships between men and women and this was ever more apparent when my parents divorced when I was nine. I think it was this chain of events which led me to focus on this area of study whilst I was at university reading psychology.
As a young adult I also completed two counselling courses along side all my hair and beauty courses which I guess means I’m pretty confident about sharing all my knowledge with you boys! (Plus I am actually female and willing to betray my coven by telling you all our secrets- what women really want and what we mean when we say one thing but really mean another!)
Throughout my life have always had more male than female friends and so I have enjoyed many a drunken night hearing all kinds of things from my guys and here’s a little secret for you all - men and women aren’t actually that different- we just seem to communicate differently so this explains all the confusion!
From a young age I have always been something of an agony aunt to friends, family and people much older who should really be giving me advice! I guess people find me approachable and easy to talk to. I don’t judge or criticise but at the same time I’ll give you truth and wont be shy about telling you so!
I have been in two long term relationships and I have also had my fair share of dating disasters (Actually I feel like I have lived through a war! Being a women with lots of female friends means that I tend to live through all my friends relationships with them. As I'm sure you guys know, women tend to talk a lot and when we get together we usually talk about you men!)
I have worked as a model and this has led me to appear in some weekly men’s publications which I'm sure you will have all read at sometime or another.
Whilst visiting the offices where these magazines are produced for photos and interviews, I learnt a hell of a lot more about you chaps! Yes, the stereotype of a typical mans interests tend to be sports, tits and cars but I know underneath that cool exterior you work so hard to maintain, there is actually a much more complex little soul.
This site is great for guys and I don’t know why there aren’t more of them.
Throughout centuries women have always pulled together and talked lots about their feeling and their problems. This is the way women work. But for you guys it doesn’t seem to be the done thing and even if one of you were to open up to your mate, I doubt he would really know what to say or how to react!
This means you can write in to either myself or Paul (who is a lovely chap who will tell you what’s what) and you can be assured of an honest, unbiased and hopefully helpful answer to any question or problem you may encounter as you travel down this complicated road called life.
So there you have it. Anymore you would like to know about me then please ask (this does not include what bra size I am or what colour pants I have on!!)
